Harvest employment service expanded to 16 new regions

A seasonal
labour employment service is being expanded to enable regional fruit and
vegetable growers to harvest crops and dispatch them to market.

The Federal
Government’s Harvest Trail Services (HTS) connects employers, growers, and
farmers with workers to fill seasonal harvest jobs in major horticulture
regions across the country.

To address labour shortages created by Covid-19, the HTS has
been expanded to 16 new horticulture regions.

Employers can advertise vacancies directly online on the Harvest Trail Jobs Board or talk to a HTS provider to advertise seasonal vacancies, get help with recruitment, and access suitable job seekers to find the right fit for their workforce needs.

A dynamic map on the Harvest Trail website displays all harvest jobs by location, allowing job seekers to see positions advertised in a local government area and for the website to be promoted to regional growers.
