Submission to Climate Change Authority 2025 Issues Paper
ALGA has made a submission to Climate Change Authority’s 2025 Issues Paper.
The submission highlighted Australia’s local governments hold powerful levers to build the climate resilience of communities, including in emergency management, operating critical community services and facilities, and land use planning.
ALGA’s report Adapting Together: Local Government Leadership in a Changing Climate was also referenced to outline the wide range of approaches councils are taking to climate change adaptation.
