Submission to DCCEEW’s Implementing Australia’s Strategy for Nature
ALGA has made a submission to the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water’s (DCCEEW) Implementing Australia’s Strategy for Nature.
The submission highlighted local government’s national contribution to protecting the environment by providing practical, application-based perspectives on how to achieve national environmental outcomes.
Councils are also critical collaborators and enablers for other place-and community-based organisations and institutions including Indigenous rangers and Traditional Owner groups, natural resource management and community groups, farmers and the agricultural sector.
